By preparing the present guidelinle on sholcrele, an urgent request of all those concerned with the production of shotcrete has been complied with. We have tried to establish a practical classification of the various requirements for shortcrete and to work out rouls and instrouctions for design. This gulideline also presents extensive experience with the "New Austria Tunneling Metode" (NATM) as well as rhe new terms used to define rhe characteristic qualities, which are applicable to entirer field of shotcrete construction. We hope that the now available code of practice will help ro improve the shotcrete
quality by selectively targeted application and to increase it´s range ofapplication.
