Beschreibung:
The Austrian sprayed concrete guideline (2009), as well as the English translation based on it, the ÖBV-Guideline “Sprayed Concrete” (2013), have received strong international recognition. Numerous significant projects have been successfully realised on the basis of this guideline.
Between 2021 and 2025, the 2009 edition of the Austrian sprayed concrete guideline was revised by the responsible working group, comprising representatives of clients, designers, universities, testing institutes, manufacturers and contractors. The objective of this revision was to incorporate the experience gained in recent years in the design, production and testing of sprayed concrete.
The revised ÖBV-Guideline introduces substantial changes aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of construction works while placing greater emphasis on sustainability aspects. It defines clear requirements for the classification of sprayed concrete, the qualification of personnel and the specifications for spraying equipment. These innovations are intended to optimise the use of sprayed concrete in construction while at the same time minimising environmental impacts.
This English version of the ÖBV-Guideline “Sprayed Concrete” is a translation of the ÖBV-Richtlinie “Spritzbeton”, published in German in April 2026.
